As the speed at which society requires access to information grows faster each day, the future of the internet lies within mobile broadband solutions. Statistics are already beginning to show that it is taking over the market, as analyst firm Telegeography has predicted that 75% of the world will have access to mobile broadband by 2013.
This is largely due to the fact that mobile broadband presents infinite opportunities for convenience on the user’s end. Any individual using wireless internet service can access the internet using their laptop and their mobile phone from virtually anywhere. With mobile broadband, users are no longer confined by cables to checking their email from home or browsing the web at work.
As mobile broadband becomes more affordable, it is also expected to become more popular, overthrowing other types of connections. An increasing number of phone service providers offer this service as part of their cellular phone plans, to lower the price of mobile connections. Providing mobile broadband service to laptops and computers is also becoming far less expensive due to the low staff requirements of wireless broadband companies.
Because mobile broadband experiences much lower failure rates than modem connections, the service is much more reliable. While this is advantage in itself, it also means that broadband providers spend less money on the IT staff that other companies employ to help users with the common connectivity problems associated with traditional internet connections.
The benefits of mobile broadband are endless. In a society that is moving such a rapid pace, mobile service is quickly becoming the most attractive option for internet users.
