Machine to machine technology uses a sensor or meter to capture an event such as location of a vehicle or level of inventory. This event is then sent through a wired or wireless network to a software application that turns the captured event into useful information such as informing a company which items in its inventory needs to be re-ordered or when a vehicle requires servicing.
M2M Applications are becoming more and more popular for companies of all types thanks to the expansion of wireless networks around the world. Interconnected wireless networks can help to improve productivity and efficiency for companies building products and offering services of all types.
